March has been a tale of two halves. The month started well, very busy in the factory manufacturing canopies and dialogue with English heritage going extremely well.
Although the majority of customers choose to fit our canopies themselves, we were happy to install some Belgravia door canopies. This was a most gratifying experience for us as we don’t often get to see our happy customers in the flesh.
It is amazing how much pleasure our canopies bring to our customers! I offered to give the guys a hand with the install, in fact it was very nice to get out of the office and into the lovely Surrey countryside.
It was incredible how many people stopped and complimented us on the canopies and the beautiful workmanship.
ZAC are proud to announce that we have recently become an official licensee working in association with English Heritage and are in the process of launching a heritage range of canopies and porches.
ZAC are intent on helping conserve some of England’s most iconic buildings as well as helping to create new ones.
Unfortunately, the country has been hit by this horrible outbreak; I don’t really want to go into this, as I think everything has already been said. We were supposed to be exhibiting at Grand Designs Live in May, but this has now been cancelled.
In the big picture this isn’t very important, but I do feel very sorry for the small businesses and the freelance staff that work at the show. Like the lovely ladies who worked on the stand opposite us last year, who unfortunately only get paid if they work.
The Grand Designs show has now been rescheduled for August, hopefully we will be back to normal by then. I would like to thank all our customers, especially the older ones and more vulnerable, please keep safe.
