Finalists!
Architectural Hard Metal Awards
This has been a very eventful year for many reasons. However, ZAC has really pushed on even through these testing times. We have added a dedicated Veranda page to our Website, and this is proving to be very successful – the order book is already starting to fill up.
We have been manufacturing some lovely metal work now, ideal for my blogs next year.
Back in the July blog, I featured a property in Kensington, London. The property was in the middle of being sensitively refurbished by a very professional builder who carried out an excellent job on the refurbishment. My business partner, Peter, entered the work carried out by us into the Architectural Hard Metal Awards.
I must say that the guys have not let me down – they were finalists. Their beautiful zinc and copper canopies and domes looked stunning; they really impressed the judges. In fact, I must say that they are quite used to receiving awards and praise for their outstanding work and achievements. We are striving to make ZAC the go to company in the manufacture of zinc and copper work and this takes a lot of hard work. It is very gratifying when a beautiful architectural creation rolls out of the factory knowing they will probably last more than a hundred years. However, behind the scenes there are reams of paperwork, accounts and logistics. There is one person that stands out from the rest of the staff. This person usually gets to the factory first, leaves last, makes lovely lunches and sandwiches, coffees and teas, will put a plaster on your finger if you cut it. She is also the mother of two of our invaluable staff and wife to my business partner.
Nothing is too much trouble, from typing a grammatically sound letter to helping to fabricate a metal extrusion. We would like to dedicate this award to Sarah Young. “Thank you!”

Normally we post a few pictures of the guys having a few beverages and enjoying the Christmas spirit. Unfortunately, this could not happen this year. Hey-ho, there is always next year. I am hoping I can surprise them with something special in the summer.
Now for something also very close to my heart. ZAC is proud to announce that we are the official player sponsors of Ian Poveda.
He really is a very talented footballer; Ian is a fantastic player who is only going to improve. We wish him well. His exhilarating pace and skills make him a very exciting player to watch.
And finally.
I would like to thank all our customers; without you all, this would not be possible.
Wishing you all a Very Happy Christmas and a Happy, Healthy and Successful New Year.
